It’s a bit like walking into your house after a robbery. There’s that same feeling in the pit of your stomach as you approach a front door that’s been kicked in, but instead here you’re greeted by a naked character at the Diablo 3 selection screen. My poor monk, clad only in the scraps he started in, armor and weapons stripped, a sad look in his eye that tells me everything I need to know about what I’m going to find when I log in.

It’s gone, it’s all gone. Every piece of his gear, every treasure I’ve been amassing in my stash for the past eighty hours of gameplay. Every cent I’ve earned from the auction house, every legendary weapon that took fifty hours to drop. All of it, gone. As a final jab from the hackers, he’s equipped only with my account bound Cow Level staff, the only thing they couldn’t steal and salvage. They’re laughing at me.

Watch The E3 'War Of The Roses'

I really, really hope that combat in this game is amazing. I suppose it’s going to need to be since it’s a team-based multiplayer Medieval melee combat game. Still, I’m always a bit nervous that I’m getting my hopes up too high. I really can’t tell from a trailer like this either. The concept is great, but it’s all about the execution.

The games is being published by Paradox Interactive (known for, among many other titles, Mount & Blade which was developed by TaleWorlds.) The developer for War of the Roses is Swedish studio Fatshark. The game is slated to come out in Q3 2012 on PC.

CALIFORNIA - Pada Toy Fair mendatang di New York, Activision akan menunjukkan game baru yang menampilkan tokoh berukuran raksasa dari Skylanders. Game baru yang berjudul Skylanders Giants ini, akan berkombinasi dengan delapan collectible figure baru.

Seperti dilansir Gameinformer, Rabu (8/2/2012), masing-masing koleksi figur akan menampilkan kekuatan unik dan kemampuan khasnya ketika ditempatkan pada perangkat Portal Skylanders yang terhubung dengan konsol milik gamer.

Beberapa koleksi figur Giants akan memakai teknologi baru yang akan membuat mereka menyala saat ditempatkan pada portal atau hanya berada di dekat portal (tidak membutuhkan baterai). Selain itu, Activision telah mengumumkan bahwa delapan figur baru Skylanders berukuran standar yang dirancang untuk game baru tersebut, akan dirilis pada waktu bersamaan.

Activision dan pengembang Toys for Bob juga akan membuat arena dan opsi gameplay baru di Battle Mode permainan ini, serta penyempurnaan Elemental  Zones dan Hero Challenges yang baru. Semua Skylanders yang dirilis sebelumnya akan kompatibel dengan Skylanders Giants.

Kabar lain mengatakan, permainan Skylanders dan deretan mainan dari game tersebut sudah membawa kesuksesan untuk Activision, dengan menghasilkan penjualan tinggi di Amerika Utara.
